Buddy died 31 August 1990, age 63, of colon cancer, at Columbia hospital at Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. The funeral was held 5 September 1990 at St. Cecilia's church at Thiensville, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin and he is buried in Resurrection cemetery at Mequon, Ozaukee County. He married Valeria Claea Bell 31 July 1948 at Imaculate Conception Roman Catholic church, Saukville, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. Reverend William Gensler presided. At the time of his death, Buddy was President-owner of Schmit Ford Murcury, an auto dealership in Thiensville.
The Gagnes reside in Thiensville, Wisconsin.
