Gilbert John3 Klein (Nicholas2, Jean Nicolas1) was born 7 March 1907 at Holy Cross, Town of Belgium, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, the son of Nicholas and Mary (Wester) Klein. His birth is recorded in Ozaukee County birth records, v 11, no 224.
He died 21 June 1967, age 60, of an acute myocardial infarction at Saukville, Ozaukee County. The funeral was held 23 June 1967 at St. Marys Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic church at Saukville and he is buried in St. Mary's cemetery at Port Washington, Ozaukee County. His death is recorded in Ozaukee County death records, v 26, no. 316.
He married Dorothy Marjorie Burhop 23 December 1948 at the rectory of St. Mary's Roman Catholic church at 117 East Van Buren Street, Port Washington. Reverend Peter Hildebrand presided. Dorothy Marjorie Burhop was born 24 April 1919 at Town of Grafton, Ozaukee County, the daughter of Fred and Marjorie (Morgan) Burhop. Gilbert completed his grade school education at St. Mary's elementary school at Port Washington. Dorothy graduated from Port Washington high school and the University of Wisconsin at Madison. His occupation was fish processing. He fished commercially on Lake Michigan for 20 years and operated Klein's fish market. Dorothy was a real estate broker.
Dorothy Burhop resides in Saukville, Wisconsin.
The Kleins had four children:
