James Jerome² Franks, (James¹), nicknamed "Harry", was born 9 December 1929 at Port Washington, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, the son of James and Anna (Cash) Franks. His birth is recorded in Ozaukee County birth records, v 19, p. 589.

Harry married Patricia Marie Gagne (19?) 23 January 1954 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic church at 117 East Van Buren Street, Port Washington. Reverend Monsignor Peter J. Hildebrand presided. Patsy was born 31 December 1934 at Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Adlor Joseph and Hildegarde Magdelen (Klein) Gagne. Her birth is recorded in Milwaukee County birth records.
