Phillip Frederick Klein⁵ (George Nickolas⁴, Harry³ Nicholas², Jean Nicolas¹) was born 4 December 1960 at St. Joseph's hospital, Hancock, Houghton County, Michigan, the son of George Nickolas and Mary Elizabeth (Kendall) Klein. His birth is recorded in Houghton County birth records.

He gradauted from Hancock High School in 1979.

From 1979 to 1983 he served with the United States Navy.

Since 13 October, 1984 he has been employed at the United States Post Office in Manchaster, New Hampshire.

He is not married.
