See Ozaukee County death certificates, v 6 no. 877. According to the death certificate, he died of septicemia after cutting his leg with a knife while cutting corn. He married Anna Klein 16 December 1880 at the parish house of St. Mary's Roman Catholic church at Lake Church. Reverend Peter Frieden presided. Witnesses were Henry Krier and John Klein. Ozaukee County birth records, v 2, no. 768, registered 28 August 1872, say she was born of 8 July. She was baptized 18 July 1857 at Holy Cross Roman Catholic church at Town of Belgium. Her sponsors were Amand and Anna Klein. Both her birthdate and baptism are recorded in the baptism records of the church. She died 5 December 1929 at Town of Belgium, age 72, of heart disease.
